Training Focus= Rehabilitation.

The focus of their sessions was to reduce the pain they were experiencing from having chronic nerve pain; (from having gluteal tendonitis for 5+ years). Now, they can move more freely and exercise (evening running within moderation); and it’s easier to manage their condition.

Training Approach

Their training focused on gentle stretching for the first year alone; (no intense movements), due to how stressed their body was from experiencing chronic nerve pain for years.

After about a year we included more of gentle movement which you will see below.

The biggest takeaway from their example should be to understand just how long it takes for certain conditions to heal, dependant on the severity of the condition (how long they have experienced it for); and for those with these issues to know there will be more difficult days/ sessions than easy.

My priority for my clients (especially those experiencing these types of severe conditions) is to create an environment within their sessions (emotionally) so they feel comfortable enough to explore these uncertain and uncomfortable experiences.

2022/ 2023 Progress.

October 2023- Gentle Glute bridges

(1.5 years since we started).

Video doesn’t give her journey a accurate representation of how long it took for her body to get to that ability to move.

Hence this is why note taking is essential towards understanding how outcomes occur. (Relationships between their environment and body; is it behavioural/ just physical)?

2024 Workout Booklet.

Videos- Exercises they did August 2024- 2 years after starting with me.

  • Sitting to standing movements- holding kettlebell.

  • Going on more runs.

  • We practiced really gradual/ good warm ups.

  • I made her an appropriate training calendar to avoid her overtraining and aggravating the condition.
